Fela Durotoye is the President of the GEMSTONE Nation Builders Foundation, a non-profit, non-governmental organization which engages, empowers and equips nation builders and community transformers through the platforms of the GEMSTONE Nation Builders Network (GNB Network).
Adetokunbo Olufela Durotoye is the recipient of several social, industry and national awards for his leadership development and Nation Building activities and was recently honoured as a United Nations Young Ambassador for Peace as well as the prestigious Nigerian Achievers Award.

Wednesday, the 12th of May 1971 was a particularly remarkable day for Sisi Addy and Bros Toks as they welcomed the newest member of their family in Ibadan South West Nigeria. They named their third child and second son, Oluwafeolami; meaning (God has enlarged my territory).
Together with his brother Pade and sister, Jibike, the family moved to the university town of Ile-Ife, also in South West Nigeria in 1972; where Fela grew into one of the liveliest kids on the campus’ staff quarters.
Ile-Ife would come to hold a special place in Fela’s life as he was thoroughly educated there. First at the Staff Children’s School (1974-1981) where he was a member of the Boys Scouts, School Band and played the lead role in the “Tragedy of Meggini” and then on, to Moremi High School (1981-1986) where he became the lead singer and keyboardist of the youth band, “The Midwaves”, who regularly featured on TV.
Adetokunbo Olufela Durotoye is married to Tara Fela-Durotoye a renowned and celebrated make-up artist and beauty entrepreneur and CEO of House of Tara International and together, they have three boys: Mobolurin, Oluwademilade and Morolaoluwa who think their dad is a super hero!
Fela Durotoye started his educational journey at University of Ife Staff Children’s School (1974-1981) and graduated to Moremi High School (1981-1986).
He obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science with Economics, as well as a Masters degree in Business Administration (M.B.A) and a Master of Philosophy Degree (M.Phil.) in Strategic Management from the prestigious institution after it was renamed the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.
For his MBA thesis, he understudied “The Management of Change in Complex Organizations” and as over the years deployed his in-depth insights, knowledge and experience in helping many organizations to manage corporate transformation and culture across various industries including financial services sector, oil & gas, telecoms & manufacturing & FMCGs to mention a few.
He is also an Alumnus of Kennedy School of Government Executive Education program of the prestigious Harvard University, Boston (Massachusetts) as well as attended High impact Leadership for a better society Program at the prestigious Yale University, New Haven (Connecticut) and The Leadership Institute, Arlington (Virginia) all in the United States of America. In 2015, Fela completed the Executive Seminar program on Strategy, Innovation & Governance with specific focus on Sustainability for NGOs and Corporate Organizations at the prestigious Lagos Business School (LBS).
Also in 2015, Fela concluded the supernumerary police training program at the Nigerian Police Training School Ikeja and received the Distinguished Student Award at his graduation and passing out parade.

Fela Durotoye started his professional career as a Project Finance Analyst in Ventures & Trusts Limited (V&T) in 1992. In 1998, he brought his experience to Phillips Consulting Limited (PCL) where he excelled to head the Customer Service Group. There, Fela designed and facilitated several customer service and personal mastery training programs and retreats.
In 2000, he established V.I.P CONSULTING Limited and soon gained the reputation as one of the leading experts in the fields of Customer Management and Workforce Activation in Nigeria.
